Today I am going to two networking meetings.
Why do I do this?
I need to be part of a club that allows me to show that I am trustworthy, knowledgeable and multi-faceted.
I want people to know that I am "not just another ________" (fill in the blank).
"Never eat alone" can be a business plan if it is backed up with honesty and knowledge.
It is a challenge to get up early, suit up and show up.
It is the challenge of Being Professional in an Unprofessional world.
The world is full of amateurs, and it is our job as professionals to raise the bar and jump over it, even in our business suit.
So today I suit up and show up, and break bread with others.
