I am tired of chasing
the next shiny object
I am tired of branding
and building market share
I am tired of charts and statistics
and happy talk in the newspaper about economic recovery
when I see people around me all struggling.
Today I go back to basics
meeting people to break bread
and facing them, eye to eye.
Today I will work on what is in front of me
drilling down to the bottom of my desk
to find the diamonds
that have been right in front of me
the whole time.
